For once and for all, Team Edward. No exceptions. I like cats but not wolves..woo wooo

Besides Edward, who is your favorite Cullen?
One and only one, ALICE. She is nice, caring and loving. She oozes positivity.

Have you seen the movies, and if so, did you like them/think they did the books justice, etc?
I have seen all the movies and really like The New Moon. I haven’t read the books so not sure if they did justice.

How did you find out about Twilight and what made you decide to read the books?
I am crazy for movies. I checked out Twilight in the theater just like any other movie and aww fell in love with it. I have not read the books. Not a book person. But now that I have seen the movies, I can put faces to the characters (all I care for is Alice and Edward…lol) and enjoy reading SOMEDAY

What was your favorite part of the series?
In the movie series: Everytime Edward steps back from making Bella one of them. So considerate.

What, if anything, did you dislike about the series?
I agree with Mama Tink. I too found Bella extremely annoying. She is clueless, confused and after New Moon I feel she is selfish and also an attention seeker

Who was the most interesting villain?
Aro, great powers.

If you could choose one character to know more about, who would it be and why?
Carlisle & Esme Cullen – they are so good, loving and make a great family. Also Alice in her human life.

Tell me about your most embarrassing “Twilight” moment…cause we all have one!
Hmmm….this is interesting. I got into a romantic mood talking about Edward and Bella and how he shows her places in Forks the vampire way. I was going on and on and on. And my friends, who isn’t a vampire fan, had no clue who Edward and Bella was.

The Hurt Locker

It was busy and tiring last week as I moved into a new apartment and office work too went crazy. Starting pretty early AM and working until almost midnight burned all my fuel. The only piece of excitement was when I found the Academy Winner Movie in my DVD store.


Yes! The Hurt Locker.

I had no clue what was the meaning of the title. So my curious soul first searched its meaning and origination.


The Hurt Locker - the phrase originates from the Vietnam War era and means – “a place of extreme pain”.
Ahh! As the title made sense for a war movie I got ready to watch. Lights off, popcorn, soda, sounds and Play.


The 131 min intense portrayal of the soldiers disarming bombs in the heat of combat ended and I was still in my seat, with popcorn untouched and lights off. It left me thinking – Is all what they showed for real?? Or how is it humanely possible? The moment when the bomb disposal expert wears his special suit and walk towards the bomb is gripping and at the same time intimidating. The suspense throughout each operation is bloodcurdling. The realization of the courage of these soldiers is beyond ones wildest dreams. As fear and courage are brothers, so

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear."

It’s not new to know a soldier’s life changes forever after the gruesome war. But every time the thought of it leaves me restless and puzzled about how do people attain such fortitude and valor. As the movie progresses it retains its intensity, tension and suspense. The movie excellently depicts the concept – “War is hell”.


I say – Dying is easier than being a soldier anyday.

Wake Up Sid

We saw the movie "Wake Up Sid" last weekend. It was a 9:15pm show and we reached around 8:20pm thinking of grabbing some good seats. But here was a long line ahead of us; as expected for a long awaited Karan Johar movie. As people were waiting for the entry, I could hear everyone speculating about the movie's story and content. The most heard comment was - "Its Karan Johar's version of Lakshya and Dil Chahta hai". It was 9pm and the entry started. Bollywood movie trailers aren't very readily shown in English movie theaters, so its one of those things people look forward to can't afford to miss. Like every other in the theater, we enjoyed the theatrical trailers. And then our movie started.

A smooth and simple movie! It best portrayed those small cherished moments which make up life. Every single audience was thrilled to see Ranbir making a cake out of bread slices and fruit jam for Konkana. No new story, but reminded of those special tiny moments which made our day and gave us hope and great strength. It was amazing to see people recalling and discussing some old beautiful forgotten moments during and after the movie. Probably, this is what a true movie maker wants.

In the hustle and bustle of life, targets and achievements, we forget to relive the small, fun filled times of life. I want to dedicate this post to those forgotten treasured points of time…..

Scared while riding our first bicycle with dad and found he is standing way behind and we riding independently….still brings smile on our face; Totally unprepared for class test and suddenly a news breaks out…the teacher is absent so test is cancelled…didn’t we lived a thousand lives in that small jiff; The anxiety and uncertainty of results, even after you knew how you did in exams ….recall the switching levels of adrenalin in those snaps J ; Careful while proposing a great solution for the first time to our boss ……

An endless list that dissolves into our lives. I believe, these moments are the key to happiness. Whenever, you are dull and feel the punch is lacking, sit for few minutes and recall the past small beautiful moments; refresh the lost memories and life is back in action.
