We sleep, we eat;

We play, we fight;

Loving you more each day

Tomorrow is my love's birthday. I wish for him the best of the world today, tomorrow and always.

This day is the most important day of the year for me, and I mean it. More than the day I was proposed or the day we got engaged or the day of our marriage. After all, we were destined for each other. This all would not have been possible without your birthday.

Breaks

The weight of some words change in no time. It seems it was yesterday when she and her gal friends made plans to hang out and have fun during summer breaks. Winter breaks and X-mas fun was ever awaited with every year. It’s hard to forget the college semester breaks. Loaded with fun and fuss. These memories are so sweet and afresh, seems like it was yesterday. Relishing old memories and I get two calls -


Call 1: I am devastated. I broke up with him.
Call 2: I was breaking off on the interview call. They got frustrated and ended my interview. I lost the job


Two different kinds of breaks and both left my friends morose.

And that’s when I realized how good were times back when breaks brought a smile over what break does today to grown ups.

Avatar the all time biggest movie! Titanic the history maker!


A common factor in both the films was the human touch and the love quotient. Not for a single moment could I take my eyes off the screen while watching any of these movies. On one hand the production grandeur was spectacular and on the other the love trail left me speechless.

A unique world full of life and light! The neural network spanning the entire planet and the Na’vi tail connection thought, though bizarre but was heart touching. No wonders, a dreamwalker in the mystical Na’vi world could not hold back himself from the heavenly beauty and aura. As I write to describe, I can revisualize every frame of the film. This is not the first movie with great special effects and alien world story. Similarly, Titanic was not the first film with grand production and best music, though the second most successful until today. So what have made these creations history?

Can Titanic be imagined without the passionate love of Jack and Rose; the frame where Jack gives away his life to save hers and she loved him for the rest of her life? Can Avatar be imagined without the strange bond between every element of Pandora’s biosphere; Na’vi queues connection; the tree of souls; Neytiri and Jake ?

It’s the humane substance, essence of love and spirituality which made both the films immersive.

Celebrating Valentine's Week: Love to Me #3 Bittersweet Chocolate

They who say we do not fight do not know what love is.

Loving is not about agreeing on everything. Rather indulge and discuss. Argue to understand each other better. Saying a yes to everything without it being acceptable is loosing. And love never calls for loosing your own self. Not to forget, when we love someone we accept them as they are. Neglecting being your true self shakes the foundation of love.
I love you more each day and it grows with every passing moment. The joy of being together is immeasurable. But at the same time it not always is a smooth road. Love is indeed about ‘being one’; but two individuals work together to achieve that. This journey is not easy and goes through a lot of ups and downs, angers and discussions, fights and tears. As said –

The course of true love never did run Smooth – Shakespeare

And after all, you don’t need to be on the same wavelength to succeed in love. You just need to be able to ride each other’s wave. Hmm …easier said than deployed :-) . One of the other challenges is to know when to pull the plug. There is an easy way out – Never sleep over it. Never go to bed mad, stay up and fight. Always start the day with the fresh scent of love.

Celebrating Valentine's Week: Love To Me #2 Love v/s Infatuation

She asked, “How do I know I am in love and not infatuation? Is he the perfect one? Should I fall in love?” Probably these questions bother many before making a commitment. She gets stressed and restless and desperately needs a break, from everything. She wants solitude before making a decision. The solitude baffles her more. As a friend I wanted to help. It was hard to tell her that I understood what she was going through. As I did not.

Love is not a decision, it happens. It is about no expectations and no complaints. It’s pure and innocent. It’s the feeling where you admire his imperfections and desires the best for him.

Choosing the right one for life is difficult but choosing the perfect one is not. As there is nothing perfect. Love is like piano-playing. It takes finesse to master. It’s like a marble which can be carved beautifully.

Infatuation is about you and me. Love is about “US”. As it is about being one, it outlasts everything. One only grows in love and never falls.

So now you know when it is infatuation and ain't love.

Being a part of this ‘everything’ and remembering what Shakespeare said about love, I decided to utilize this lovely Valentine’s week to collect my thoughts and feelings to put together in words what Love means to me.

Love is the strangest feeling one could ever experience. It is the biggest weakness and strongest strength in an individual. She waits for one meeting for years without a single glance of him. And she shatters like glass with that one touch of love. He fights against the world to make her his. And he cries finding her in pain. The opposite polarity of this emotion makes it complete and satisfying.

They say love is blind. I honestly disagree. As I believe it just changes the perspective; for good. Doesn't it make you feel happy all time? Doesn't a thought of him bring a smile amidst all the world worries? Doesn’t it exude positivity? To most the answer to all these questions is - "YES". The life today is busy and hard. A step out and a competitive cruel world awaits. As ‘No time for love’ gains popularity, loosing on emotions and sensitivity is the cost being paid for success and numero uno race.
